Welcome to Bundy Dog Park
Bundy Dog Park is a fenced-in park where dog owners can bring their dogs to play and socialize off-leash.The park, which opened on April 7, 2012, is open to all, and provides a safe space to raise healthy, well-tempered dogs in an urban environment, and it provides an opportunity to bring together members of the community.
What is Bundy Dog Park?
Bundy Dog Park is located in the Shaw neighborhood of Northwest Washington, DC, on on the south side of P Street between 5th Street and New Jersey Avenue. The entrance to the dog park is located in the middle of the block across the street from the KIPP DC campus. Click on the "Contact" tab above.
What are the hours?
The park opens every day at 7:00 a.m. and closes at dusk.
Are there any rules of operation?
Of course, for everyone's safety and enjoyment. Rules for the dog park are posted at the park's entrance, and may be updated from time to time on this website. The rules for Bundy Dog Park incorporate all of the rules established by the DC Department of Parks and Recreation for dog exercise areas and published in the DC Municipal Regulations. Who manages the park?
Friends of Bundy Park, Inc. is a private, non-profit corporation that manages Bundy Dog Park in partnership with KIPP DC. Friends of Bundy Park, Inc. is comprised completely of neighborhood volunteers who donate their time and money to maintain and improve the dog park and enforce its rules. Friends of Bundy Park, Inc. has contracted with DoodyCalls to clean and empty waste stations, and restock doggy waste bags, once a week, and to deodorize the entire dog park once a month. All costs of dog park improvements, maintenance, cleaning and supplies are funded completely through donations to Friends of Bundy Park, Inc.
